About

G’day! My name is Carey Edwards. Welcome to my website!

I am best known as being the co-founder and C.E.O of Australian Working Dog Rescue (AWDRI), a registered Australian charity founded in 2007, that looks after the iconic Australian working dog breeds, saving them from death row pounds, retraining, them, rehabilitating them, and then rehoming them responsibly.

As well as all the usual day to day activities of running the charity I also engage in multiple activities that both bring awareness and raise funds for the charity.  I’m a #1 best selling author (Rescue Dogs – ISBN: 9780733339950), Ambassador, Presenter, Master of Ceremonies, and I have an uncanny ability to make lots of interesting things due to my background as a qualified carpenter/builder.

I’m available for lots of different things, including brand ambassador roles, live stage performances, working (stock) dog demonstrations, social media promotional posts, public speaking, judging and MC roles, and have vast experience across radio, TV, live performances, and movies, including with my dogs. I’m also an accomplished award winning photographer, with works on display in my book Rescue dogs, as well as having been featured by Australian Geographic, and the ABC.

My #1 partner at present is a little black and tan kelpie named “Nimble”. She’s also available with me, as are my other dogs.

Email me to get a copy of either my, or AWDRI’s media kit: [email protected]
